Provide your existing data
Access details are transmitted through a secure process.
You receive a personal, time-limited upload link from us. Please never send access details by e-mail or via the contact form.

Prepare the move
Website, database and e-mail are checked and prepared.
We copy files, databases and mailboxes to our system. Your existing website keeps running unchanged in the meantime.

Check the functions
The key functions are tested before switching over.
We test forms, log-in, shop checkout and e-mail sending on a preview address. You see the result before anyone else does.

Switch to twosteps
The domain or DNS is switched over.
Only when everything works do we switch the domain or DNS records. Both systems remain available until the change has propagated everywhere.

What the migration service includes
- Which plans?
- All web and WordPress editions. For xCloud and Microsoft 365 we take care of mailbox and data migration.
- How many websites and mailboxes?
- As many as the booked edition includes. We discuss larger volumes in advance.
- Shops and special configurations?
- Shops, yes. We check custom server configurations, cron jobs and services in advance and tell you what can be taken over.
- Which CMS?
- WordPress, Joomla, TYPO3, Shopware and static websites; others on request.
- Who switches the DNS?
- We do – as soon as you approve the switchover. If your domain is with another provider, we accompany the domain transfer.
- Requirements?
- Access to your existing hosting or a complete backup, plus the domain’s auth code.
Frequently asked questions
What customers want to know before switching
Will my website be offline during the move?
Usually not. Your existing website keeps running until we switch over after testing. For mailboxes we agree the timing with you so that no message is lost.
What does the migration cost?
When you book an edition, the migration within the scope described above is free of charge. If your project goes beyond that, we tell you the effort in advance – binding and without surprises.
Do I have to cancel with my current provider?
Yes, that remains your task – ideally only once everything is running with us. We tell you when the right moment is and which notice periods typically apply.
How do I send access details?
Via a personal, time-limited link that you receive after your request. Never by e-mail or via the contact form.
Can I keep my domain?
Yes – your domain transfers to us and of course remains yours. We need the auth code (AuthInfo) from your current provider; we handle the transfer itself.
Can I change edition later?
Yes, moving to a larger edition is possible at any time. Moving down takes effect at the end of the minimum term.
